Sugar and acidity
Never thought about this before. We know that acidic PH imbalance is home for all disease. So we try and get balanced with alkaline foods.
But how about good old orange juice or grape juice. The citric acid in an Orange or Lemon turns alkaline when eaten. This is good.
How about the orange juice and other fruit drinks? Adding to alkaline? Not if they add sugars. Added sugars, processed sugars, are acidic. Not good.
I always stay away from added, processed, sugars just because they’re processed. Simple sugars aren’t whole foods so in my book they aren’t foods at all. They are food by-products. Now I can add acidic to the reasons to avoid them.
