I’ve never had the best knees and abused them a lot at work. For the last 15 years I haven’t been able to work all day, or stand all day, without them stopping me. My knees would hurt so bad I’d just have to sit down
I understand that inflammation contributes to most health issues and I’ve been doing what I can to eliminate foods that might lead to inflammation. I was starting to think my walking days were soon to end, that in a few years I’d need a cane to get to the car.
The other day I was watching a podcast from Dr. Glidden about some foods “we should never eat”. I’d seen most of it before and the only thing in there I ate was the grains. I still ate these grains because I didn’t ever hear the why part. As soon as I heard the why it made sense and I stopped. That was about a week ago.
My knees now hurt, at least, half as much. This lessening in pain happened the next day after stopping the grains. I didn’t write about it then because I thought it might be a fluke or that it would come back and I’d have to write that I was wrong… again
The reason why the grains are doing what they’re doing to us is because they’ve been modified. At least I know the wheat has been modified. There is no such thing, as far as I know, as unmodified wheat. Wheat was engineered in the 70’s to produce a huge gluten protein molecule so breads would be softer. Gluten is great for pastry making… not good for digestion
The effected grains are wheat, barley, oats and rye. I guess they’re gone, we’ve destroyed them. So I basically adopted a gluten free diet…
