The Cost Of Our Identity

Existential taxes…

One wonders: why we care so much about holding and preserving our flattery… the weight we give to insults given to us… our psychological injuries… our mental ailments?

Why do we care so badly about all of these things?

Why all of these things are so relevant in our life?

We are subconsciously terribly frightened about the possibility in which without such decadent accumulation of memories we may become nothing… we cease to exist…

So we need bonds, ropes, identities… and the stronger and more painful fear is… the more attachment stabs and harpoons our historical brain… isn´t it so?

In the name of the fear to be nothing, we persist in promoting our fears, our past suffering and present struggle… as some sort of price we are supposed to pay as a tax for our identity…

How can we live this way?

The fear of being nothing prostitutes our psyche to the carousel of accumulation… and that´s our self destruction…

And in reality what are we?

Nothing!

We are nothing… not divine, nor meant to be, neither sacred… We are nothing and only nothingness can meet peace… But that´s exactly what we fight everyday…

Trying to fill it up… paying “existential taxes” to suffer… taxes like religiosity… like spirituality… like ideals, illusory veneration of all kinds…

Killing intelligence everyday…
