The what as who

I was asked how I could know who someone was without knowing the persons ideas about who they were…

I almost never use the term Who when thinking about people… I’m always after finding out the entirity of What I am…

No matter what, or who, we think we are, others will always have their own opinions… assessments, of us. These are always made in conjunction with, and filtered through, their identities…

If we look at the what only… then the similarities between the what called Paola and the what called Doug are almost 100%… but we invent the Who where we might say, “I’m a Star”, or, “I’m a janitor” … now, as these who’s, in our imaginations about things, we’re as different as different can be…

What we think of ourselves, what the lady in the movie thought about herself, what the “Star” thinks about itself, never effects the what… We are what we are regardless of our individual fantasies…

It matters little to me who anybody thinks they are, who they pretend to be… We all play the game we like best
