Whats Your Identity

What’s an Identity, here are a few examples…

Adopted identities: British, Socialist, Christian, Awakened, Patriot, Political, Anarchist, Gay…

Acquired identities: loser, bad girl, frightened, big-shot, common, nobody special, exceptional in every way, sexy, bigot, one with, separate from…

Accepted ideas: Life is hard, everybody gets sick, everybody dies, there are just some things we can’t understand, there’s a reason for everything…

Accepted accusations: You’ll never amount to anything, you’re just lazy, you’re ugly, you’re pretty, you’re a pest, you’re always in trouble, you’re always in the way, nobody likes you, you are so likable, you’re stupid, you’re the smart one…

Can you find yourself in there? Or start to see what you may have picked up along the way, and why? Once we do we can begin to notice how these identities shape our thinking, our perception.

How these Identities can shape and direct our lives…

Why we work, where we work, what we work for, why we marry, buy things, dress and act the way we do…
