Why it's next to impossible to change the world

This is a short version of, with one or two reasons for, why it’s next to impossible to change the world…

When we approach the problem of outward conditions with the understanding that the world around us is the physical form, the material manifestation, of the world within… then it all seems to be a little confusing as to why the world is the way it is. We’d be right to ask, “Is everyone insane? Are people really this dumb… bloodthirsty?”

I’d say that people, as a whole, aren’t stupid. People don’t like war and suffering… but that leaves the question… Why all the war, suffering and stupidity? Well, while people in general aren’t stupid, they are, all of us, easily and readily programmable. Given time and some expert programmers, we’ll believe damn near anything…

Most of the people, that many people today are calling stupid, sheeple, robots…, truly believe they’re doing what’s best for mankind. They believe they’re part of what’s good in the world… So do the one’s screaming for them to “Wake Up!!” Are the screamers awake? Is anyone truly awake to all that’s going on inside them? …and isn’t that where the outside mess got started?

We all believe we’re doing the right thing… We all believe we’re right, on the side of good… We all believe the bad things in the world is because of “Them”. So we start little mental squabbles with people… at first in our thinking, then in our actions. We start little stinks with the sheeple, or with ideals, or with the believe systems of people we want to change. We want them to see that “All this shit…” is their fault… But that doesn’t work because they are doing, feeling and thinking the same thing about “The Others”.

It’s always The Others…

We might be better off saying something like, “Okay, let’s try together to find out what’s really going on…”. That would likely be a more productive approach… Mentally… but where would we go from there? How would the “Stop Wall Street Group” arrange to sit down with the people making their living off Wall Street? How would the Athiest and the Theist talk things out? They both “Believe” they’re right… We all believe we’re right (it’s instinctual).

Can we see the distance stretching out here? From the non-existant mental point of working and looking at things together, to sitting down, to Cooperation, to open mindedness and willingness? And here, in this non-existant setting what will we have? People who believe they’re right… People who believe they are on the side of good… People who believe… A room full of programmed people… A room full of programs.

These people, if ever they agree to sit down and address the problem: of a world not to their liking, will see every thing differently… the distance grows

The reason why it’s next to impossible to change the world… is because it’s next to impossible to change the people of this world. The reason for that, is that it’s next to impossible to change people’s beliefs. That: the inability for people to discard their beliefs is next to impossible; but that’s not even the hardest part… The truly, seemingly insurmountable, next to impossible thing is… to understand for ourselves that Belief is the Problem…

Now you can probably see the distance growing out into the mist and disappearing into the dreamy unknown… Is not a world without Belief: Belief Systems, Ideals, Values… ; Unknown?
