I’ve always plugged into a wired connection but this last time the installer ask me to use the disk with the firmware on it. Of course I didn’t have one but I figured I could find the files, download them and put it on a thumb drive…
I found what I needed here: cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/unofficial/non-free/firmware/wheezy/current/ and downloaded the files, moved them (the folder was named firmware) to a thumb drive and plugged it in
The installer found the files and I finished installing… pretty simple
